EARTH AND PLANETARY SURFACE ENVIRONMENTS
This course introduces the processes that shape Earth and other planetary surfaces as well as how records of these processes are preserved on landscapes and in sediment deposits. This course will cover a range of topics including surface hydrology, erosion, sediment transport, and chemical weathering and connect them to the development and interpretation of the stratigraphic record. All topics will be treated using descriptive (qualitative) approaches as well as a range of quantitative methods. This course requires a once-a-week 3-hour lab.
