PHYSICS OF HAM RADIO FOR TEACHERS

Fundamentals of electromagnetic waves and propagation, the ionosphere and space weather. Basic electronics, antenna design and safety, magnetism. Provides information necessary to pass the "Technician" level of ham radio license. Non-calculus mathematics. Other topics include: use of GPS, geocaching. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for PHYS 501 if student has credit for PHYS 401.
