Introductory Biochemistry

An introduction to the basic molecules of life including carbohydrates, fats, proteins and nucleic acids. The catalytic mechanism of enzymes and basic metabolic pathways will also be examined. Prerequisite: CHEM 222 completed (recommended) or concurrent or CHEM 225 or 220; or CHEM 221 completed in 2023 or later. Three credits and lab.
