Health Equity Programs: Planning, Implementation, Assessment & Evaluation

This course will prepare students in identifying relevant evidence sources for understanding health equity and inequities in health outcomes. Students will also gain hands-on experience in conducting situational assessments to plan a variety of health equity interventions. Students will also learn how to evaluate health equity programs and interventions in collaboration with equity- impacted communities. Evaluation designs and tools like logic models, health equity frameworks, and theories of change will be covered, and students will complete an evaluation of a health equity program/policy/intervention of their choosing. Prerequisites: HEEQ 501, 502. Three credits.
