Reframing Art History

1.00 credits · Undergraduate

This course explores how histories of art have been made, negotiated, and transformed while developing critical methodologies for understanding cultural artefacts. Organised as an interdisciplinary introduction to art from prehistory to the present, this course analyses key moments of cultural and intellectual exchange, acknowledging connections between empires and images and challenging presumptions and boundaries surrounding artists, styles, and periods.
