Introduction to Jazz Improvisation

A hybrid format, practice-based course introducing jazz improvisation skills, focused on melodic improvisation over chord changes. Students learn to improvise over standard jazz forms, gain fluency with jazz concepts and artists, and learn transcription skills and software tools.
