Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour; laboratory, one hour. Preparation: placement test. Proficiency-based course in descriptive Azeri grammar. Reading and analysis of Azeri literary and folkloric texts in new writing system. High-style composition and conversation. May be repeated for credit. Letter grading.
