Material and Energy Balances with Applications

Introduction to steady and time-dependent material and energy balances using a variety of problem-solving strategies and laboratory experiments. Concepts include degrees-of-freedom analysis, unit operations, multi-unit systems, chemical reaction kinetics and equilibrium, and phase equilibrium. Prerequisites: CENG 4 and CHEM 6B or CHEM 6BH. Students may not receive credit for both CENG 100 and CENG 110.
