Language is one of humanity’s most powerful tools, and we’ll examine it through a linguistic lens, exploring not only how sounds, gestures, words, sentences, and meaning work, but also crosslinguistic and social differences in language use and the role of language and language technology in modern society. Prerequisites: none.
