Vector spaces, orthonormal bases, linear operators and matrices, eigenvalues and diagonalization, least squares approximation, infinite-dimensional spaces, completeness, integral equations, spectral theory, Green’s functions, distributions, Fourier transform. Prerequisites: MATH 210A or consent of instructor.
