Aesthetics

Central issues in philosophical aesthetics such as the nature of art and aesthetic experience, the grounds of artistic interpretation and evaluation, artistic representation, and the role of the arts in education, culture, and politics. May be repeated for credit two times with change of content. Prerequisites: upper-division standing or consent of instructor.
