PHIL 23
Philosophy of AI
An introduction to the philosophy of artificial intelligence that explores foundational questions about minds, machines, and the nature of physical reality. We will ask questions such as: What is intelligence? Could machines think, reason, or even be conscious? How do different approaches to AI illuminate long-standing puzzles about induction, simplicity, language, and creativity? The course will examine how these questions connect emerging AI technologies with deeper issues in philosophy.
