Chinese Reading and Writing credit:

Students with a basic background in spoken Mandarin will help develop their ability to read and write Chinese characters. This course fulfills the language requirement for those programs with a two-term sequence. Successful completion of CHIN 241 and CHIN 242 fulfills the Liberal Arts and Science foreign language requirement. Credit is not given toward graduation for: Credit is not given for both this course and CHIN 201 or CHIN 202 . Prerequisite: Speaking proficiency as determined by placement test.
