Exploration of Islamic ethical thought from the Qur'an and Hadith to the present day. This course will consider both developments within Islamic intellectual circles and developments connected to non-Muslim thinkers and encounters with other religious communities. Same as SAME 481 . 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: Previous coursework on Islam or the Middle East.
