Introduction to contemporary approaches to language teaching, teaching as a profession, and second language acquisition theory. Includes a teaching component and 50 hours of Early Field Experience (EFE). Early field experiences require Illinois State criminal background check and other training. 4 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. Prerequisite: Restricted to students admitted to qualifying teacher education curriculum.
