C oncepts of enthalpy and energy balances, including heats of chemical reaction, with material balances for steady and unsteady-state systems. Fundamentals such as vapour-liquid equilibrium principles are introduced and integrated into material/energy balance problems alongside interpretations of the physical properties of process streams.
