Japanese Conversation and Composition I

INTS 321-3 is a continuation of INTS 222- 3. Students begin to acquire advanced skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in order to communicate effectively and sensitively in a variety of social contexts. Students are expected to actively participate in discussions and interactive presentations, and to write in a variety of styles. Sixty additional kanji are introduced (for a cumulative total of 300). Prerequisite(s): This course is not open to native speakers. Students must meet a minimum grade of C in INTS 222-3 or obtain permission of the instructor to continue. Permission of the instructor is also required for students who have prior knowledge of Japanese or who have at least one Japanese- speaking parent.
