This course covers physics of the solid state of matter including: theories of metals, crystal lattices, reciprocal lattice, periodic potentials, electron dynamics, band structures, conduction in metals, phonons in metals, semiconductors, superconductivity and diamagnetism and paramagnetism. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 202-4 and PHYS 206-4
