Social Work Practice and Spirituality

3 credits · Graduate

This course provides a forum for the critical exploration of the impact and influence of spiritual and religious thought and practices on human service work. The historical roots of this work are based in religious movements, aspects of which still affect today’s practice and policy. In an increasingly multicultural environment, social workers must have a fundamental understanding of religion and spirituality in order to practice effectively. Preclusion(s): SOCW 453-3
