BIOL 340
Introduction to Developmental Biology
This is an introduction to developmental biology. Development is where genotype produces phenotype and where the diversity of living forms arises. We will take a comparative view of developmental processes, focusing on common themes across organisms. We will integrate information you will have learned in genetics, cell, and molecular biology, as well as connections to evolutionary concepts like homology. We will build up to an understanding of mammalian development as relevant to human health.
