Global Problem-Solving Through Systems and Design Thinking
This course prepares students to apply foundational systems-thinking principles and processes to analyze and map a complex problem; identify and visually represent component parts and interrelationships using mapping techniques; and apply design-thinking principles and processes and synthesize understanding and perspectives from multiple disciplines to create/propose a solution to the problem. While the topic of focus may change semester-to-semester, the fundamental skills taught do not. This course is only available to pre-college students participating in the Pioneer Academics program; the course is not open to undergraduate students.
