RELI 432
Jesus Across Cultures
This seminar examines Jesus as a divine, human, prophetic, and/or ethical figure across Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Buddhist communities globally in early, medieval, and Reformation eras, as well as in the modern and contemporary Americas. Specific attention will be paid to scientific, devotional, and media cultures which pose a variety of questions and methods for engagement with the theological and cultural questions that emerge from the earliest narratives of Jesus' life through to recent religious and moral movements.
