Introductory conversation. Builds oral proficiency and awareness of Hispanic culture. Emphasizes vocabulary and grammatical accuracy; writing activities support speaking. Students may not receive credit for both SPAN 255 and SPAN 266 . Not open to native speakers. Honors version available.
