BMIS 487
Microbial Genetic Systems
Microbial genetic systems will be highlighted as we collectively work through the topics of gene regulation, replication, mutagenesis, repair, recombination, transposition and horizontal gene transfer using a mix of lecture material and working collectively through research articles that highlight these topics. We will focus on understanding how hypotheses are tested and the evolving tools and technologies used and available in studying genetic systems.
