Global Health Certificate Urban Community Practicum
The Urban Community Practicum offers a facilitated practical opportunity for students to apply and expand their global health knowledge in real-world field settings. This experience includes placements with community-based organizations such as SWITCH (Saskatoon) or SEARCH (Regina), where students will engage in health promotion, clinical services, and community outreach. These placements provide students the opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams to serve underserved populations in urban neighborhoods. Additionally, students will explore policy and advocacy issues related to health equity, gaining insights into the intersection of community health and systemic change.
