NVIVO for Computer Assisted Analysis of Qualitative Health Research Data

1 credits · Graduate

This workshop style course will cover basic principles of qualitative methods, focusing on how to use NVivo software to support analysis. Qualitative research is the systematic collection, analysis, and dissemination of nonnumerical data (such as text, video, or audio) to answer research questions. NVivo, software made by QSR International, is often used to support the analysis of qualitative data. Graduate students, health professionals, and trainees in clinical, population, public, and community health interested in, or planning to use, NVivo to support their analysis of qualitative health research data will benefit from this course. The class includes NVivo-focused instruction and practice, and completion of a final project using a provided data set and associated research questions.
