Ethnoecology as Deep History

1.5 credits · Undergraduate

Examines how communities across cultures and throughout time managed ecosystems, food systems and urbanization, and how inequality and governance shaped resilience or vulnerability. Archaeological case studies highlight both fragility and innovation, offering lessons for today’s challenges in food security, biodiversity, governance and climate adaptation.
