Takes a deep approach to different research methods, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, their strengths and weaknesses, rationales for their application and how they can be combined in interdisciplinary research at the highest levels. PhD students develop effective written, oral and graphical communication skills and an understanding of the range of ways for gaining reliable knowledge.
