Development of beginner language skills and intercultural competencies, through oral and written practice, to build the building blocks for communication and interaction, focusing on basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple grammar structures (familiar everyday expressions, personal details). Exploration of differences and cultural diversities in French-speaking regions and countries. Advances to an A1 level of the European Common Framework for Languages. Prepares for upper-beginner (A2) study upon completion.
