Covers how to design and implement instruments like surveys and assessments for measuring latent constructs such as learning, belonging, or engagement. Concepts include the science of item writing, piloting whole instruments, and preliminary data collection. Also covers use of software for data collection and analysis. Prerequisite: EDPSY 490.
