Persuasive Writing

Students study examples of good and bad persuasive writing, and practice written advocacy in a number of assignments. Includes the study of persuasion and rhetoric, then moves into practicing legal argument: working with facts; framing issues; and constructing legal arguments. Students practice advocacy in the context of pre-trial motions and appeals.
